As the coordinating body of the Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC) HIV/AIDS Advocacy Committee of the Sub-Sahara Africa Region, FWA is currently organizing a 3-day pan-African summit on “Mainstreaming Peace and Health.”
Our goal is to gather grassroots organizations and community advocates of the East African region and select individuals from across Africa to discuss, compare, and develop innovative strategies to integrate peace-building concepts and principles into community health models—and vice versa.
This summit is an effort to drive grassroots organizations and peacebuilding advocates to finally work collectively in a single effort to re-evaluate, reshape, and improve today’s health and peace work.
