One of our primary objectives is to care for women suffering from the HIV/AIDS health crisis in Burundi. With CDV accreditation from the Burundian Ministry of Health, FWA performs voluntary HIV testing at the clinic. FWA also provides pre and post test counseling for all patrons receiving HIV testing.
While FWA does not currently provide ARV treatment, we continue to refer patients who test HIV positive and who qualify for ARV treatment to other clinics. We conduct home visits to follow-up with patients and track their progress in living with HIV/AIDS.
FWA is currently in the process of receiving accreditation from the Ministry of Health to provide anti-retrovirals to patients.
