Every day, our team works tirelessly to improve the lives of women and their families in Kamenge and surrounding areas. FWA’s team of health care providers, psycho-social workers and dedicated professionals provides free or low-cost primary health care services, including pre- and post-natal visits, general consultations, and HIV testing and counseling to the local community.
In an effort to empower women both emotionally and financially, we have launched a robust trauma healing program and small microfinance program. Because our team is from the community, we know that the most common cause of trauma for women and their families is poverty. Our microfinance program gives women both the funds needed to launch their own small businesses, and the business coaching necessary to make them successful.
